La situazione molto difficile che stiamo affrontando con la pandemia di Corvid-19, ha portato alla chiusura anticipata del Tour quest'anno al fine di proteggere i piloti e tutti i soggetti coinvolti in questo evento. Ieri abbiamo annunciato che questo sarebbe stato il nostro ultimo giorno di salto, un evento senza precedenti in oltre 25 anni di gare qui.



The European Equestrian Federation (EEF)

(March 12, 2020) - The European Equestrian Federation (EEF) and IJRC calls on all National Equestrian Federations in Europe and outside Europe to stop all competitions with immediate effect.

This call should be regarded as an urgent advice and was prompted by the outbreak of the Covid- 19 virus.

The EEF considers it necessary to cancel all equestrian competitions in all disciplines from today until end April 2020.

Given the imminent declaration of a state of ‘Alarm’ by the Government of Spain, the Sunshine Tour has decided that tomorrow, Saturday, March 14th, the XXVI edition the Tour will end with the celebration of the Suzuki Grand Prix (CSI3 * GP).
Our highest priority at the moment is to guarantee the safety and well-being of all the people involved at the event. Therefore, the sixth and last week of the Circuit is cancelled. We thank riders, owners, judges and officials for their understanding and collaboration.

Update  The Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL is re-scheduling the upcoming events in Mexico City, Miami Beach and Shanghai to new dates this year due to the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
We are working with the Alliance of Jumping Organisers (AJO) and the FEI (International Equestrian Federation) to find consensus about new dates this year for these upcoming events. The health and wellbeing of our fans, stakeholders and staff are of the utmost importance in these unprecedented times, which are impacting events worldwide.




Geneva, Switzerland, 9 March 2020 – The world’s top show jumpers will gather at The Dutch Masters, the largest indoor show in The Netherlands from 12–15 March, to contest the first Major of 2020 in the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. The Rolex Grand Prix on Sunday 15 March is the highlight of this four-day show and will provide a thrilling finale to this prestigious event.


CSIO5* of France - La Baule: 8 teams in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™

The world stars of showjumping usually open their outdoor season in La Baule, where the kick-start of the « Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ » will be given.

First confrontation of the n°1 Division for Europe, the Nations Cup of La Baule (CSIO5*) will have a unique flavor this year. This only French leg of the 7 European qualifiers before the world final will be, for the national coaches, an opportunity to review their best pairs with a view to the Tokyo Olympics.


GCL League: Pirates Pounce in Nail-Biting GCL Doha Opener


St Tropez Pirates kicked off their 2020 GCL campaign in determined style combining speed and pinpoint accuracy to take the lead going into Saturday’s showdown. 8 teams finished on a zero score after this nail-biting first round, with some blisteringly fast rounds from St Tropez Pirates, Scandinavian Vikings and London Knights.


Holly Smith takes command at the Sunshine Tour

Last year’s CSI4* Suzuki Grand Prix winner, the very talented Holly Smith, has just arrived here at Montenmedio and not content with fourth place yesterday with “Heart’s Destiny” in the 1.50m BT class, she brought out her other horse “Denver” in the John Deere, CSI3* Small Grand Prix and rode a foot perfect and stylish round in the jump off that was unbeatable. Holly took over the ride on “Denver” last September and they had a great start together getting along immediately as the horse changed careers from eventing to pure showjumping.

Tomorrow sees the first LGCT Grand Prix of the season, and the first qualifier for a place in the LGCT Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs in November. It will be all to play for at this early stage of the season, as the best of the best battle it out in another day of exciting competition.
