World Cup: Said conquers Verona
Abdel Said has surprised the odds to take victory at the 2016 Verona leg of the Longines FEI World Cup. The Egyptian rider was competing with Hope van Scherpen Donder and stopped the clock in 37.96 seconds to claim the win at the prestigious event.
Following behind in second on the other hand was Frenchman Simon Delestre with Chesall Zimequest (Casall) while the final podium slot was taken by Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs with Clooney.
There was also a good showing from the Italian representatives taking part in the northern city as Emilio Bicocchi and Gianni Govoni were both classified in the top-ten in sixth and tenth spot respectively.
As for the other Azzurri athletes, Alberto Zorzi was 18th, Juan Carlos Garcia 21st, Lorenzo De Luca 26th, Piergiorgio Bucci 27th, Emanuele Gaudiano 28th and Bruno Chimirri 36th.
