Toronto proves to be happy hunting ground for McLain Ward.
Toronto has been something of a lucky charm for McLain Ward, and after winning the FEI World Cup leg in the Canadian city just a few days ago, the US rider enjoyed that winning feeling once more by riding to victory in the Big Ben Challenge over 1.60m.
Just like in the World Cup leg, McLain Ward was competing with his trusted mount HH Azur and the double conquest has seen the American earn a cool 68.310 $.
Focusing on the competition, a total of four horse and rider combinations cleared the course at the jump-off stage but Ward was the quickest to take first place.
Following behind in second we find Reed Kessler with Cylana, Belgium’s Olivier Philippaerts in third with H&M Legend of Love and Georgina Bloomberg with Caleno 3 in fourth.
The rest of the top-ten was as follows:
5th Nicola Philippaerts BEL H&M Harley vd Bisschop
6th Jonathon Millar CAN Star Power
7th Elizabeth Madden USA Breiting LS
8th Sharn Wordley NZL Barnetta
9th Erynn Ballard CAN appy Cara
10th Laura Kraut USA Andretti S
