The terror of tourists in Denver

The Horse of the Apocalypse welcomes tourists to America as they leave the Airport of Denver. The horse is an imposing 12 metre tall statue, of a daunting skeletal mustang rearing on its hind legs, also known as the blue horse, and was produced by the Mexican sculptor Louis Himenez.
Himenez passed away in 2006, just before finishing his work of art, squashed by the head of the horse which had come loose from the structure.
This was the first mishap to add to the sinister reputation the statue. Its presence, in fact, disturbs the majority of tourists who arrive in Denver, and according to those who have passed the effigy at night, the scene sends shivers down the spine of those who gaze upon it, because the eyes of the beast are coloured by red neon lights.
