The Royal Windsor Horse Show
One of the biggest events on offer this weekend is the historical CHI Royal Windsor Horse Show, a milestone in British and International equestrian tradition. The famous Windsor international competition shares its name with the venue that hosts it; Castle Windsor, where from 9 to 13 May 2018 the 75th edition of the event will be celebrated.
First held in 1943 the event was awarded its fifth CSI star last year, and on Sunday 13 May eight thousand spectators will follow the Rolex Grand Prix live, as the athletes compete on the track designed by Bob Ellis.
Among the competitors will be British London 2012 heroes including record man Scott Brash, the only Grand Slam winner to date, who will be looking to take the title from reigning champ, and leader of the computer list, Kent Farrington.
Other top names who’ll be aiming for the prize are Canadian Eric Lamaze and Irishman Bertram Allen, as well as Kevin Staut and Rodrigo Pessoa.
