The international ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS again will be part of the FEI JUMPING NATIONS CUP™ YOUTH in 2023.
From 23 to 27 August 2023, the best young riders from Europe and Switzerland will compete at the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS, which will once again take place in the show arena at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf after the successful premiere last year. During five days, international competitions in four different age groups are on the programme: The CSIO with Nations Cups in the categories Children (U14), Juniors (U18) and newly Young Riders (U21) count as qualifiers for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth Final, whose GP also counts for the international BEMER Young Riders Tour. A CSI U25 will also take place again. The ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS are under the patronage of the “Suisse Youth Jumping Academy“ SYJA. As a highlight, the Swiss Sport Horse Association (VSS) will once again organise the traditional Suisse Elite Foal Auction on Sa- turday evening. The announcement, the programme and all information will be published conti- nuously from spring 2023 on the website of the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS website at www.youth- masters.ch.
After the successful premiere last year, the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS will be held for the second time in Switzerland from 23 to 27 August 2023 as an international outdoor show jumping competition for young riders. More than 150 riders with more than 300 horses and a large audience from Switzerland and abroad are expected at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf, one of the most modern and spacious equestrian facili- ties in Switzerland.
Zurich as leg of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth for the second time
The Swiss young riders who won the first edition of the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS 2022 at their home show, will once again be offered a stage and a great opportunity to measure themselves against the international competition in front of the local audience. And for the best Swiss riders there are again to win wildcards for the CHI Genève (U25) and the CHI Basel (Ch, J).
Once again, the organisers around initiator and tournament director Yves von Ballmoos have been awarded the official “FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth Qualifier Leg“ by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS 2023 will feature three CSIO series with Nations Cups in the categories Children (U14), Juniors (U18) and now also the Young Riders (U21), whose GP will also be part of the BEMER Young Riders Tour, which was launched in 2022 as a pilot project of the traditional BEMER Riders Tour for the young U21 generation. In addition, the CSI-U25 forms a starting opportunity
for ambitious young top riders under the age of 25.
Previous and new sponsors and partners have already confirmed their support
In 2023, the ZURICH YOUTH MASTERS will again be under the patronage of the “Suisse Youth Jumping Academy“ (SYJA). The aim of this sponsorship project is to promote the sound equestrian training of young talents in show jumping, with a practical focus on dressage, jumping, theory and mental training. It is primarily aimed at the national squads in the pony, children, junior and young rider categories and complements the existing programme for promoting young talent of the Swiss Equestrian Federation (SVPS). In addition to numerous competition sponsors and partners, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois and TOMMY HILFIGER Equestrian as well as the Porsche Centre Winterthur have once again agreed to be the main sponsors, having already been present on site as competition sponsor partners in 2022.
Supporting programme with Suisse Elite Foal Auction and TOMMY HILFIGER Riders Party
After last year’s successful 29th Suisse Elite Foal Auction, which took place for the first time as a hybrid and closed with a record result, the Swiss Sport Horse Association VSS/ACSS has decided to hold its top- class foal auction again this year as part of the ZURICH YOUT MASTERS. It will be the highlight of the evening programme on Saturday, 26 August 2023 at the Horse Park Zurich-Dielsdorf. And on Friday eve- ning, the famous TOMMY HILFIGER Riders Party will once again take place in the marquee following the last competition.
