More than two weeks of preparation are behind us, topped by four days of incredible emotions. Swinoujscie welcomed us with beautiful weather, and I think the next edition, which everyone is already surely looking forward to, will take place next year. Those emotions of CAVALIADA Summer will continue in the CAVALIADA Tour, which is coming very soon. Warsaw, Poznań, Sopot and Kraków will be the playground for the event in six months, so I invite you to take a look at our website, as well as to purchase tickets which are already on sale at www.tobilet.pl ” says Jakub Patelka, CAVALIADA Director.
Show jumping
The most popular equestrian discipline, a highlight of every CAVALIADA program is show jumping. For four days the riders took part in 19 international classes, of which as many as 10 ended with a home victory. The two highest-subsidized and most important in terms of rank were lucky for representatives from Germany. On Friday, the win in the 145cm Longines Ranking competition for the prize of LOTTO, under the patronage of Grupa MTP, went to regular CAVALIADA participant Philipp Schober riding the 12-year-old gelding Guesssina, while on Sunday, the PKO Bank Polski Grand Prix at 145cm, under the patronage of the Mayor of Swinoujscie, included for the Longines Ranking, we saw a win by 22-year-old Marvin Jungel on Pessoa C. This young rider is certainly in great disposition. A month ago, he won the Hamburg Derby, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, and now he has triumphed in the PKO Bank Polski Grand Prix.
My horse jumped great throughout the whole competition without making a single mistake. Pessoa C is only 8 years old, so I’m even more pleased with this victory. The course was very demanding today, only three clears and a very fast jump-off, so I am very proud. I think the triple combination was the most difficult, a lot of found it tricky” says Marvin Jungel. He adds – We are right on the beach, we have beautiful weather, the show was very successful and I hope I can ride here again more than once. – said the rider
Interestingly, Marvin Jungel took part in CAVALIADA Summer in Kolobrzeg as a 15-year-old. The second-ever edition of the equestrian competition on the beach turned out to be very lucky for this talented rider.
The winners of two 140 cm contests were: Andrzej Głoskowski riding Verdinale (Big Tour on Thursday, for the prize of the National Support Center for Agriculture, under the patronage of tylkoskoki.pl) and Estonian Juri Sokolovski with Edith (Medium Tour Final, for prize of Kwiaty Polskie, under the patronage of the Baborówko Equestrian Association). In the spectacular Speed & Music, for the prize of Grupa MTP, under the patronage of Radio ZET, the best rider was Poland’s Jan Bobik riding Onasis.
In the rivalry for the youngest participants, known as CAVALIADA Future, we saw 16 children and their ponies, selected to compete at the event through a qualification process. As the riders emphasized, competing at the CAVALIADA Summer arena was a dream come true. Fans were able to admire the youngest in three classes for the prize of PKO Bank Polski: a style class, a relay and a jump-off class. The riders were divided into two categories – Mini and Midi. In the Mini category, the winners were Zofia Reimann with Frankenhoeh’s Mylord and Ignacy Luboński with S-Piorun, while in the Midi category Kalina Sierakowska with Helaba D’Insegotte and Natalia Jensen with Maurik’s Liu. Jo. In the highly entertaining and spectacular relay, the winning team consisted of Natalia Palmowska, Anna Korus and Ignacy Luboński.
Driving
ORLEN Summer Driving, i.e. three horse-drawn carriage driving classes held from Friday to Sunday, provided fans with an incredible spectacle, and each ride was accompanied by loud applause. As Bartlomiej Kwiatek, the winner of two of the three ORLEN Summer Driving competitions, emphasizes, there is no more beautiful feeling when, when showing the results of one’s hard work, the people give the energy right back to the athletes, showing that they really love it.
Those two minutes we spend in the arena and then that applause after the round – it’s amazing, and it doesn’t matter who won, or if someone made mistakes. That’s not important. What’s important is that it’s fun, there’s this power that comes from the people, and this, in turn, motivates us, the riders, to train harder, drive better and better, develop and travel hundreds of kilometers to shows such as CAVALIADA Świnoujście, where the number of spectators and the way they cheered us on was something really beautiful,” says Bartłomiej Kwiatek.
The program included two cones classes with marathon elements, as well as a parallel competition. The win in the first one of them went to Aleksander Fularczyk with Neptun and Nuta.
