The Buoniconti Fund’s Gala: Polo for Neurological Research
An noteworthy initiative is set to kick off 2024 at the Washington National Polo Center: the 2nd Annual Gala with Polo Match. The event, scheduled for January 27, 2024, not only promises entertainment but also has the noble objective of raising funds to support The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the charitable organization associated with The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.
The elegant evening will be adorned with an exciting polo match, dressage and jumping exhibitions, a silent auction, and much more.
Last year, thanks to the generous support of all participants and backers, the event reached extraordinary heights, and it is hoped that this year will surpass the success of the 2022 edition.
The Buoniconti Fund organization adds a special meaning to this cause, uniting physicians from The Miami Project and polo enthusiasts, including some of the top players. Founded in 1985 by Nick Buoniconti, NFL Hall of Famer, and renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Barth Green, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis is a cutting-edge research center committed to scientific discoveries and clinical studies on spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and neurological diseases.
This event is not only an occasion for the equestrian community to come together but also a significant opportunity to contribute to the research and treatment of neurological diseases and injuries.
