Seven days until the start of 2025 Al Shira’aa Le Lame Sagrantino

Everything is ready in Montefalco to welcome the 2025 edition of the Al Shira’aa Le Lame Sagrantino Show Jumping, which will take place from April 30th to May 11th. This prestigious event is an official stop on the Al Shira’aa Tour and one of the most anticipated events on the international show jumping calendar. With less than seven days to go until the start of the event, eight days of high-level competition await, featuring riders and horses from over 30 countries, ready to challenge each other on courses designed by Olympic Course Designers Santiago Varela Ullastres and Elio Travagliati.
The competition is part of the tenth edition of the CSI4* Sagrantino Show Jumping, with a total prize pool of €507,000 and 7 categories qualifying for the Longines FEI Ranking List. The program includes two Grand Prix events (H155), with €106,000 in prize money during the first week and €110,000 in prize money during the second week, scheduled for Sunday, May 4th, and Sunday, May 11th.
Montefalco, a Key Stop on the Al Shira’aa Tour The Umbrian event is one of the seven official stops of the 2025 Al Shira’aa Tour, an international circuit founded under the vision and patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who serves as Honorary President for the fourth consecutive year at the Montefalco Show. The Sagrantino Show Jumping stands alongside some of the most prestigious equestrian events in Europe and the Middle East, distinguishing itself with a formula that combines top-tier sport, elegance, and a focus on local heritage.
The decision to include Montefalco in the circuit is the result of constant work driven by passion, organizational expertise, and attention to detail. The natural and cultural context of the competition offers an added value that few other international events can provide. Once again this year, the Zampolini family, the Organizing Committee, and owners of the Le Lame Equestrian Center announce that the event is sold out for both weeks.

Thanks to a reputation built over time, the competition has attracted the attention of top-level riders, team managers, and internationally renowned sponsors. As part of a tour that includes iconic cities such as Abu Dhabi, Hamburg, Hickstead, and Bolesworth, Montefalco now stands as an essential reference point.
An Event that Celebrates Excellence, Sport, and Heritage The very name of the event – “Sagrantino Show Jumping” – celebrates the deep connection with the local area and the famous DOCG wine produced in Montefalco. During the competition days, there will be tastings of extra virgin olive oil and Umbrian wines, art exhibitions, award ceremonies featuring local products, as well as the promotion of the regional brand “Umbria Cuore Verde d’Italia.”
According to ISNART 2023 data, Montefalco is ranked among the top 20 Italian destinations for sports tourism attraction. With an average of 30,000 visitors per year, the economic impact on the local area is significant and continues to grow with each edition.
An Exclusive Experience for Spectators and Enthusiasts Over the years, the Sagrantino Show Jumping has become an unmissable event for the stars of international show jumping. A celebration where sport and hospitality merge to offer the public a unique experience. The VIP area, overlooking the Main Arena, offers breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and drinks in a refined and exclusive environment, perfect for experiencing top-level sport and discovering the excellence of Umbria.
This is an event that not only celebrates sport and heritage but also offers a unique opportunity to experience the passion and excellence of world-class equestrianism.
