Rome meet brings Draghunt season to close

The closing meet of the Draghunting season took place at the Two Lakes at Anguillara Sabbazia, north of Rome.Heavy rain greeted the riders and hounds who had arrived from Rome, Florence, Napoles as well as further afield from England and Sweden.Hunt Master Federico Nizza got the Irish fox hounds underway as they set off after the scent through the murky conditions around the hills and lakes of Bracciano.Despite the conditions, it was a good canter for the horses and the hounds took to their task with plenty of gusto as the hunt wound its way through the countryside.
