Results round-up from Leipzig
Let’s check out the latest results from Germany where riders are in action ahead of the Leipzig leg of the FEI World Cup.
Pius Schwizer was victorious in the 1.50m trial with Leonard de la Ferme CH thanks to a time of 61.92 seconds and 0 penalties. For his triumph, the Swiss rider earned himself a new Mercedes Classe C worth 37.000 euros.
In second spot we find Germany’s Ludger Beerbaum with Chaman in a time of 64.11 seconds while rounding out the podium was British rider Scott Brash with Hello Annie in a time of 65.20 seconds.
The best performing Italian rider was Luca Maria Moneta who came 14th with Herold N in 71.24 seconds. Fellow Italian Alberto Zorzi was way down in 44th place with Danique following 12 penalties and a time of 73.80 seconds.
Looking ahead, today riders are in action for the Partner Pferd Speed Cup over 1.45m but also the KASK Youngster Cup dedicated to young horses of 7 and 8 years of age. Flying the flag for Italy in this latter trial will be Luca Maria Moneta with Abramante del Beiro (Quintender).
The big competition of the day however is staged for 15.30 in the form of the Championat von Leipzig over 1.50m. Italy’s hopes pass through Luca Maria Moneta and Alberto Zorzi.
