Results round-up from Jumping Verona
Penelope Leprevost has won the BMW Small GP in Verona for the second year on the spin. The French athlete was competing with her top horse Flora de Mariposa.
In second spot we find Billy Twomey with Diaghile while Azzurri rider Lorenzo De Luca picked up another excellent result to finish in third place with Armitages Boy. Just missing out on a podium finish was David Sbardella in fourth while following close behind in fifth was the talented Alberto Zorzi.
Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat meanwhile won the Franco Tucci Prize with Elbfuehren’s Happiness. The silver medal went to Simon Delestre while rounding out the podium was fellow French rider Kevin Staut. The highest ranked Italian in this competition was Simone Coata in seventh spot.
Moving on, there was great Equestrian World for Italy as Francesca Arioldi recorded another victory in the second trial of the CSIU25 Riders Academy in the Cavalleria Toscana Prize with Loro Piana Celtic.
The attention now turns to today’s big event: the fourth leg of the Longines FEI World Cup. The action gets going at 14.30 local time with 8 Italian riders set to take part. They are: Piergiorgio Bucci, Emilio Bicocchi, Bruno Chimirri, Lorenzo De Luca, Juan Carlos Garcia, Emanuele Gaudiano, Gianni Govoni and Alberto Zorzi.
