Paradressage, CPEDI Deauville 2018 returns in April
The only International Para-Equestrian Dressage Competition held in France, the Deauville CPEDI3* returns from the 5th to the 8th of April 2018, for its eighth edition.
The best French and foreign para-equestrian dressage riders will be present, each hoping to win one of the 11 titles on offer. 43 couples from 11 nations will be embarking upon three days of competition, including favourite Great Britain, unbeaten in Nations Cups since 2012.
Among the eight British riders entered are notably, Sophie Wells (Grade V) and Sophie Christiansen (Grade I), both team and individual gold medal winners at the 2016 Paralympic games held at Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Alongside them, the Grade II individual Paralympic champion, Lee Pearson, making his big comeback after being absent for more than a year.
The Netherlands are back again this year with their best athletes. Amongst others, Nicole Den Dulk (Grade II) and Demi Vermeulen (Grade III), both team bronze medallists at the last Paralympic Games.
