New York, NY – New York Empire team owner Georgina Bloomberg of New York, New York, announced the team of six competitive riders for the 2022 Global Champions League (GCL) season, which is a part of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT). Accompanying Bloomberg on the roster will be 2021 New York Empire riders Scott Brash, (GBR), Denis Lynch (IRL), and Spencer Smith (USA). New York Empire finished 10th in the 2021 season and qualified for the GCL Playoffs in Prague, Czech Republic. The team had several successful placings, including a podium finish during Rome Week II.
“New York Empire was strong last year, and I am excited about another excellent season in 2022,” explained Bloomberg, who debuted the New York Empire team in 2018. “I always enjoy competing alongside Scott, Denis, and Spencer, and we are all thrilled to welcome Jodie and Harry to the roster. I believe that their experience, talent, and horses will greatly benefit the team.”
