Maher top of Longines Ranking

Ben Maher’s top international showjumping form has seen him become number one rider in the Longines World Ranking List issued by the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale).
The Briton won team gold at the London 2012 Olympic Game and recently took recent team gold and the individual silver medal win at the ECCO European Championships in Denmark. This saw him leap from 19th position last month to heading the most recent league table.
Behind him are former gold medallists Beezie Madden (USA) and Marcus Ehning (GER) in second and third place respectively while Germany’s Christian Ahlmann is fourth.
In fifth place sits the current Olympic individual gold medallist Gerco Schroder for the Netherlands some 160 points behind Ben’s 2,510 point lead.
