Longines FEI World Cup: Twomey wins ahead of Zorzi
The last stage of the 5 star in La Coruna, the Longines GP, was eagerly awaited and did not disappoint the fans.
There were eight starters in the barrage and the winner was the Irish rider Billy Twomey on the back of Diaghilev, the 13 year old gelding who finished the second round in 69.59.
It was a great result for the Italian Alberto Zorzi with Fai Light van’t Heike, the 11 year-old female horse, who finished second in the international event.
Third place went to Max Kunher, from Austria, with Cornet Kalua, an 11 year old gelding.
Unfortunately Luca Maria Moneta and his 15 year old Neptune Brecourt were forced to retire from the race.
