Katie Dinan Secures Victory in Second Leg of North American League
The FEI Jumping World Cup in Washington comes to end
In the second leg of the FEI Jumping World Cup – North American League 2023/2024, American rider Katie Dinan showcased her skills by clinching victory in the 1.60m President’s Cup Grand Prix, presented by Experience Prince George’s.
Katie Dinan was the last to enter the arena in a jump-off that featured seven horse-rider pairs. Her confidence in her mount, Brego R’n B, and her excellent riding abilities allowed her to complete the course in 33.50 seconds, earning her the first-place finish in a World Cup leg. Germany’s Rene Dittmer and Corsica X/Connor secured the second spot, crossing the finish line in 34.40 seconds, followed by American rider Devin Ryan on Eddie Blue with a time of 34.74 seconds.
Dinan’s victory was the result of her consistent dedication and training under the guidance of coach Beat Mändli. Katie’s personal goal at the beginning of the season was to improve her times and be faster, and she succeeded. This win adds to the two others she and Brego R’n B have earned in other Grand Prix events since June.
Currently, Katie Dinan shares the top spot in the NAL standings with the winner of the Sacramento leg, Irish rider Robert Blanchette, each with 20 points. In third place is American rider Sophia Siegel, with 17 points. To find out how the Sacramento leg unfolded, click here.
The North American League will continue in Lexington (USA) on November 4, 2023.
