Italy’s De Luca in top-20 in world rankings
The new-year begins with a new leader at the top of the Longines world rankings after Germany’s Daniel Deusser ousted his fellow countryman Christian Ahlmann from first place. The latter now trails the leader Deusser by 70 points. USA’s Kent Farrington has jumped his way into third place and sits ahead of fellow US athlete McLain Ward who is in fourth.
As for the Italian riders, Lorenzo De Luca is the best ranked Italian rider and sits in 17th spot with 2210 points. As for the other Azzurri, Piergiorgio Bucci is 37th, Emanuele Gaudiano 42nd, Alberto Zorzi 81st and Luca Maria Moneta 83rd.
