“Il Cavallo, La Brughiera” and children

The 2009 edition of “Il Cavallo, La Brughiera” will not just be about the horse riding, the organizers have decided to include a number of initiatives aimed at entertaining the youngest fans. In fact it would be appropriate to say that this year’s event is dedicated to the youngsters.To start off the event, on the 24th of April, organizers have decided to set-up a “Playful Horse” show, in association with the ‘Toy Horse Museum’ of Como, a gathering of all the horse themed merry-go-rounds designed by Goffredo Colombani. The exposition will be hosted by the public library of Somma Lombardo from the 24th of April till the 3rd of May.
On Saturday the 25th of April a second event will be held, called ‘Children and Bread’, a workshop to teach children each step involved in the making of bread, from the dough to the final product, and of course the tasting of the final product.
On the Sunday, the 26th, ‘La Capinera’ team will organize a special show jumping competition, where adults on steeds will compete with children on ponies. Whilst the Casorate Sempione horse riding team will hold an athletics’ competition, and in the afternoon of the same day a show called ‘Soap Bubbles’ will be held, which is a part of the Ticino film festival.
On Friday the 1st of May the girls from the Artistic Gym and Dance clubs of Cimbro and Casorate will put on an acrobatic show   titled ‘ Gymnatsic fantasies between moorland and horses’. A dog show titled ‘Bau Bau Day’ will also be held on the Friday, with no exlusion criteria, apart from the need for the dog to be accompanied by its young owner, in fact only children may enter.
Throughout the entire event all the teams involved will offer the young fans a chance to experience the thrill of getting in the saddle, a first encounter with horse riding.
