The Big Tour class, for the prize of the National Support Centre for Agriculture and under the patronage of Tobilet.pl, saw 51 combinations on the start list. 13 of them went clear over two phases of the course, designed by Marco Hesse. Ultimately, the 20-year-old young rider Hannes Ahlmann (GER) took home the win with the grey Caracas 105.
“I really appreciate my horse and how she jumped today. She felt great. There was nice rhythm, and she went over perfectly. She is 9 years old, and I have been riding her for 2,5 years. She is one of my favourite mares at home, I call her a princess. She is really easy to ride and always on your side. It’s my first time competing at Cavaliada. It’s only the first day and the tribunes are already full of audiences supporting you, it’s great. “
Second place went to home rider Kamil Grzelczyk with Wibaro. „I went at the end, so I knew how the others did and where are the biggest questions of the course. Wibaro jumped great. We didn’t manage to win, but I plan to ride him tomorrow in the ranking class as well.” – said the rider.
Austria’s Stefan Eder closed off the podium riding Dr Scarpo.
The best rider of the Middle Tour, for the prize of Bucas and under the patronage of tylkoskoki.pl, was the experienced Swiss Pius Schwizer aboard Diane de Launay. Polish riders with homebred horses took the next places – Michał Kaźmierczak with Whoopy Boy was second, and Dawid Skiba with La Vulkano L – third.
The opening Small Tour class, for the prize of ZiO food and under the patronage of Equista.pl, ended with a victory of a very fast pair – Lithuania’s Matas Petraitis and Heineken. Second place went to his compatriot Andrius Petrovas with Kendis, and third to Daria Kobiernik (POL) riding Winchester.
In the first CSI Amateurs class, for the prize of Nuba Equi and under the patronage of Equista.pl, 15-year-old Polish athlete Julianna Bajońska and her Lolita van Avermaet were unbeatable. Maja Siwiak (POL) finished second with Tracja, and third went to Alessandra Walkowska (POL) with Herr Catoo.
Michalina Krzyżyńska (POL) was the best in the CSI1* Big Tour, for the prize of Poznań Congress Center, riding Indigo R.T, ahead of Evita Vismeryte (LTU) riding Quintes and Aleksandra Wypchło (POL) with Girl RV.
In the Small Round CSI1 * competition, for the prize of City Diet, the attendance was so big, that following the rules of the International Equestrian Federation, the classification was divided, and there were two winners – Andrius Petrovas riding Remember Me and Natalia Kubik (POL) with Catalaya.
