The Californian Nilforushan Equisport Events has launched a noble initiative: finding homes for stray dogs.
Over the next two weeks a number of national equestrian events will be held at the Temecula Valley National Horse Show, in California, and during the events on May 25th and 26th, the venue will host the Thrive Animal Rescue initiative aimed at finding families for dogs from pounds and animal shelters in the area.
The goal of the event is to reduce the number of animals at the overcrowded shelters in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino areas.
Thrive Animal Rescue gives aid and shelter to animals in peril across the USA thanks to the support of their volunteers, sponsors and donors and since 2014 has saved many animals from high mortality pounds, bringing them to shelters and sanctuaries.
