Dressage, rising starlets to be watched ahead Tokyo 2020
A new pair is coming into the limelight of international dressage. After the recent reunion of Spanish rider Jurado Severus Lopez with three-times Youth World Cup winner Fiontini, also Charlotte Dujardin promises to make impact with her new young talent Mount St. John Freestyle.
The pair made their official debut in a Grand Prix test this weekend and it was an instant success, as they earned a 81% mark from the board. Dujardin was so proud of his promising performer that she celebrated the memorable day with a facebook post.
It was a great debut also with the other British horse she rode, Hawtins Delicato, nicknamed “Del“ by his friends and his owner Carl Hester: the pair gained a 76% mark.
Along with Cathrin Dufour and Sonke Rothenberger, who stood out in last year’s European Championships in Gothemburg, these two names must be included in the list of pretenders for a top spot in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
