Dressage, Isabell Werth wins her fourth title

Germany’s Isabell Werth won her fourth FEI Dressage World Cup Final atop of Oldenburg mare Weihegold OLD on Saturday at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris.
The large crowd attending the event expected a real battle for the title and they were not disappointed.
After her second place in Friday’s Grand Prix behind Laura Graves, the queen of equestrian sport promised she would fight hard to retain her world dressage crown. With an average of 90.657, she rode what she considered to be one of her best freestyle performances to secure the title.
The American rider Laura Graves finished second, shattering her personal best in a Freestyle to Music class with a score of 89.082 atop of her faithful Verdades. Having arrived on the international circuit just four years ago, Laura Graves has certainly been the revelation of the last twelve months.
Third place went to Werth’s compatriot, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, who finished with the score of 83.725%atop of her horse Unee BB to confirm the German supremacy in this category.
Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Deja had to content with a 4th position and a 83.146% average.
