For the 2024/2025 season, Desert International Horse Park (DIHP) has once again expanded opportunities for exhibitors to compete across all levels of international competition. The upcoming season will continue to move the needle forward, with 12 FEI competitions over eight total weeks of international competition, including three weeks of CSI5, and three weeks of CSI4.
The International schedule kicks off in December 2024 with Desert Holiday, featuring two weeks of CSI5* and CSI2* competition, highlighted by the $1,000,000 CSI5* Coachella Cup Grand Prix and Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) Individual Final during the first week, as well as the $1,000,000 MLSJ Team Final during the second week.
The CSI5* action doesn’t slow down, however, with the addition of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League Qualifier to the schedule for Desert Circuit 4, spanning January 29-February 2, 2025. The event will offer CSI5* and CSI2* action throughout the week, featuring the highlight class, the $250,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League Qualifier CSI5*, which will allow international athletes to earn points towards the 2025 FEI World Cup™ Finals in Basel, Switzerland.
But before that comes the first of two CSI4* competitions at Desert Circuit 3, combined with a CSI2, to create two great weeks over Desert Circuit 3 and Desert Circuit 4. The combination of consecutive CSI4 and CSI5* weeks will allow horses and riders to acclimate to the high standard of jumping and will provide two weeks of unbeatable action for spectators.
Three weeks of CSI3* action will take place during Desert Circuit weeks 6, 7, and 9, providing a steady build towards the grand finale of the season, the second CSI4* during Desert Circuit 10.
Each week of FEI competition at DIHP will welcome back internationally-renowned course designers, including Olaf Peterson (GER), Alan Wade (IRL), Julien Pradervand (SUI), Bernardo Costa Cabral (POR), Colm Quinn (IRL), Ben Townley (GBR), Peter Grant (CAN), Anderson Lima (MEX), Cedric Longis (FRA), Kelvin Bywater (GBR), Peter Holmes (CAN), and Marina Azevedo (BRA).
