CSI4* Munster: Eckermann brings the Munster GP home
As with all races at this level, the Grand Prix of Munster, the BMW Hakvoort Trophy, which took place on Sunday 28th August, saw the winner gain victory by a few tenths of a second.
For the prestigious jump off with obstacle height 1.60m, German rider Katrin Eckermann in Carlson who, with two clean laps and a time in the second round of 37.46 seconds, left English champion Robert Whitaker on USA Today behind (0/0; 37.90) in second place. Ukranian rider Cassio Rivetti, finished in third with a time of 38.37. The grand prix of Munster was a qualifier for the Olympics in London 2012 and the winner took home 22,000 Euro prize money. There were 31 pairs, ten of which qualified for the jump off and four of which retired.
