On September 8, 2024, Charlotte Jacobs made headlines with an impressive performance at the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, securing victory in the $120,000 Agero CSI3* Grand Prix aboard Rincoola Milsean. This win capped off an extraordinary week for Jacobs, who dominated all three international events she entered.

At just 29 years old, Jacobs began her successful week by winning the $32,000 Stud Tree CSI3* Two-Phase on Thursday. The following day, she added another trophy to her collection by clinching the $32,000 GGT Footing CSI3* Welcome Stake. With two victories already secured, Jacobs approached the Sunday Grand Prix with the goal of finishing the week on a high note, and she did just that.

The competition took place at the prestigious Flintfields Horse Park, where Jacobs faced a challenging course designed by Brazilian course designer Guilherme Jorge. Out of 33 international competitors, only nine horse-and-rider pairs managed to navigate the first round without faults. Among them, Jacobs and her loyal partner Rincoola Milsean, an 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse affectionately known as “Roy,” demonstrated exceptional speed, completing the jump-off in an impressive 35.31 seconds.

The podium for the $120,000 Agero CSI3* Grand Prix saw notable performances from other top riders as well:

  • 2nd Place: Brooke F. Kemper (USA) aboard Seaview Demonstration, finishing with a jump-off time of 37.89 seconds.
  • 3rd Place: Francisco Goyoaga Mollet (ESP) on Stakato Cornet, with a jump-off time of 39.01 seconds.

“This week has been absolutely incredible,” Jacobs exclaimed. “Winning this Grand Prix was a major goal of mine, and after having such a great week, I went in thinking, ‘if I win, that’s great, but if I just get a good placing, I’ll still be happy.’ To have won, I was just like, ‘wow, is this week even real?’”

Jacobs also highlighted her horse’s continuous improvement. “Every day I ride him, I know that if I don’t mess up, I can win. He’s a spectacular horse and gets better the more he jumps. I actually think his jump-off today was his best round of the whole week.”

Charlotte Jacobs’ victory not only celebrates her skill and determination but also marks a significant moment in the equestrian world. Her success at the Traverse City CSI3* showcases her ongoing rise in the sport.
