Ahead of the Longines Fei World Cup showjumping Grand Prix in Gothemburg, the Dressage Freestyle event took place on Friday and registered a sensational epilogue. Cathrine Dufour and Cassidy triumphed, setting a new high score in beating world No. 3 Isabell Werth, second atop of Westfahlen Emilio (Ehrenpreis). Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel on Delaunay OLD (Dr. Doolittle) ended third on 83.615 per cent, also a personal best.
The Danish Olympic combination scored 88.200 per cent for the victory thanks to a flawless freestyle which was welcomed with a roar of acclamation at the Area, while Isabell and Emilio made a mistake in the two-tempi changes and were awarded a score of 85.380 per cent for second place.
