Joining Ehning will be world number ten Kent Farrington (USA), back after time away from the Majors due to injury and Steve Guerdat (SUI), who so nearly claimed victory in the Rolex Grand Prix at CHIO Aachen this year.

TIM Price admitted he was overwhelmed with emotions after finally achieving his dream of winning the 2018 Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in a thrilling finale.

The New Zealander and Ringwood Sky Boy broke their duck at the four-star event as they pipped defending champions Oliver Townend and Ballaghmor Class to top spot.

Having led overnight after the cross-country, Price jumped clear with the 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding to take the title at Burghley House, near Stamford.

The New Zealand native and Ringwood Sky Boy topped the overall standings after an enthralling day of cross-country action at Burghley House, near Stamford.

Price had trailed fellow Kiwi Mark Todd following the dressage, but the five-time champion’s leading horse Kiltubrid Rhapsody was eliminated after a fall.

MARK Todd believes it is all still to play for in the cross-country after taking the overall lead at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, toppling defending champion Oliver Townend.
The five-time winner put himself in prime position for his sixth title after posting a dressage score of 26.4 on Kiltubrid Rhapsody to storm into first at the prestigious four-star event.
In the process, the New Zealand Olympian dislodged Townend, who had been sitting pretty at the top having opened the competition on MHS King Joules on Thursday.
