It's the last day of Jumping International de Chantilly and the penultimate CSI5* class, the Prix Aire Cantilienne, kept the suspense until the final moments. Just when Scott Brash thought he had it, last to go Leopold Van Asten zeroed in on Brash's leader spot. In this 1.45m competition against the clock, the Dutch rider employed the speedy talent of VDL Groep Elexia, and they were only pair to shave the time below 66 seconds.

"This is this mare's first international victory of the year. She's coming off of a little break, and I'm trying to get her ready for bigger events. I try to ease her into jumping the higher classes. The course suited her perfectly, so I decided to play a little bit and go for a good time and she responded very well. I hope she will be as good in the Master Groupama, the next class which we will also do together!" said Leopold Van Asten.

Brash, the 2012 Olympic Team Champion, held onto the 66.13 second lead set with top Grand Prix horse Hello Senator until Van Asten secured his second place podium spot. Eduardo Alvarez Aznar of Spain and his 9-year-old gelding F gave another third place performance, the same result achieved in Friday's speed class.

The Master Groupama, a 1.55m Grand Prix event, has just begun and will conclude the intense weekend of competition on the grass of the racecourse, facing the Grandes Ecuries de Chantilly.
