First ever CDIO4* in Finland together with CSIO2*

Equestrian Centre Aino is proud to host the first ever 4 star CDIO competition in Finland. The Aino Nations Cup Finland is also a joint event with FEI Nations Cups both in Dressage and Jumping, on one arena. Already on the first year the teams in both disiplines have shown interest in coming to Finland. There are three teams in Dressage, Sweden, Estonia and Finland, and four in Jumping, Italy, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

-We are very pleased to have a good field of international riders in the first Aino Nations Cup, says the Event Director Mia Stellberg.

Järvenpää is one of the eight events in the Dressage Nations Cup™ series together with top shows like Geesteren (NED), Aachen (GER) and Hickstead (GBR). The top riders include seven times olympian Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfén from Sweden, Dina Ellermann from Estonia, and Henri Ruoste from Finland. Hiroyuki Kithara from Japan takes part in the competition as an individual.

The Jumping CSIO2* is part of the Europe Division 2 competitions. Team Italy send a total of seven riders all the way to the Northern Europe. Denmark sends a strong team of young riders. The home team is a combination of experience and young talent. Norway has a chance to top the standings as Poland leads with only 20 points difference. Poland had to withdrew from the competition last minute.

The four day event in Järvenpää, close to Helsinki, is a combination of top sport and entertainment. The facilities are designed to host the whole families for the whole day. After the day of competition the public can continue the evening at the show ground listening to live music. The children can enjoy playing in the hobby horse arena, and also ride the ponies and drive with pony carts.

-We have paid close attention at the functionality of the competition site. The riders and their teams won´t need to bring their bikes as we have all the construction close together. Also the public can enjoy the same structure. We are expecting some 15 000 visitors during the four days, Stellberg tells.
