After the success of the first HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR in April, the HUBSIDE JUMPING has announced a new tour of 3 dates at the Ecuries du Golfe de Saint-Tropez in Grimaud, in the heart of the French Riviera. The big names in international show jumping will be present for the CSI 1*, CSI 2* and CSI 4* events from 30 May to 2 June, from 13 to 16 June and from 27 to 30 June. Free entry.
The HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR was a resounding success. In April, the newly renovated Ecuries du Golfe de Saint-Tropez played host to some of the world’s best show jumping riders, including the World number 1, three-time winner of the Longines FEI World Cup Final and the 2012 Olympic Champion, Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat, as well as the Olympic team gold medallists, France’s Pénélope Leprévost, Philippe Rozier and Roger-Yves Bost. All of the participants are of the opinion that these tours, these new facilities and the sporting ambition of their owner, the successful businessman and international rider Sadri Fegaier, are going to boost a region, which, until now, has rarely put horses in the spotlight.
In June, the HUBSIDE JUMPING will boast three events: from 30 May to 2 June, then from 13 to 16 June and lastly, from 27 to 30 June. Every weekend has its own international course designer! So, during the first week, Italy’s Andrea Colombo will be responsible for the courses of the classes of this HUBSIDE JUMPING, headed up by Denis Monticolo, the event’s general manager and Eleonora Ottaviani, the sports director. Switzerland’s Gérard Lachat will be the course designer during the second week while France’s Grégory Bodo will be in charge during the third and final week of the HUBSIDE JUMPING. The competition will be held on the Ecurie du Golfe de Saint-Tropez site, in the brand-new 120 x 70m ring, next to a 100 x 50m paddock. During the three week-long show, CSI 1*, CSI 2* and CSI 4* classes, open to amateurs and professionals, will be organised every week.
The CSI 4* Grands Prix will boast prize money of €100,000, €150,000 and €100,000.
The village of Grimaud, in Var, an absolute gem bathed in the French Riviera’s sunshine, is the setting of the HUBSIDE JUMPING.
The seaside resort of Port Grimaud, nicknamed “the little Venice of Provence”, due to its sparkling canals and its coloured houses, is one of the many attractions in the area and is located less than five kilometres from the showground. Grimaud is surrounded by fields of olive trees and vineyards and is renowned for its history and festivals, contemporary art galleries, paradisiacal beaches,
golf courses and its hiking trails along the coast.
